For nearly three decades, Spring in the Hollow has marked the unofficial kickoff to spring in Lynchburg, drawing locals and visitors alike to celebrate warmer days, blooming flowers, and small-town charm. With its mix of craft vendors, a spring flower market, food trucks, live entertainment, and family-friendly fun, the festival has become a cherished tradition—and in 2026, it’s getting even hotter.
Introducing the Inaugural It’s Still Chili Cook-Off, an official International Chili Society (ICS) sanctioned event, debuting alongside Lynchburg’s 30th Annual Spring in the Hollow Festival. This new addition brings competitive chili cooking to the heart of the festivities, giving festivalgoers one more delicious reason to spend the day in Lynchburg.
Chili competitors from near and far will fire up their pots in multiple categories, while festival guests get to enjoy the sights, sounds, and flavors of Spring in the Hollow—all with the added aroma of award-worthy chili drifting through the hollow.
